Police say they are investigating the sudden death of retired police officer Wilson Semambo, 65, whose body was found in his father’s home in Kiwangula Village, Busana sub-county, on November 4, 2025, at about 8:00pm.
According to preliminary findings, the deceased had been battling high blood pressure and diabetes and had moved back to his father’s home after losing his wife. He was reportedly staying alone at the time of his death.
Police said the body was discovered lying on a mattress in the sitting room by relatives who had come to check on him. No signs of violence were observed at the scene.
“The body of the deceased has been conveyed to Mulago National Referral Hospital for a postmortem examination to ascertain the actual cause of death,” said Hellen Butoto, the Ssezibwa Region Police Spokesperson.
She added that the Police had opened an inquiry file and recorded statements from family members and local leaders as investigations continue.
