Security intercepts 100 Ugandans recruited for combat in Russia

Security sources revealed that the recruits’ group is part of a larger pool of more than 100 Ugandans targeted for phased deployment to the Russia-Ukraine war zone, and the first batch was scheduled to leave this week.


KAMPALA - Security has bust a racket that had stealthily recruited up to 100 Ugandans with a promise of working as mercenary fighters in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
