Eyalu’s body has been taken to Katakwi Hospital for postmortem before being released for burial in his home in Arapai, Soroti District.

SOROTI - A driver of the Soroti Fruit Factory has died on the spot after a motor accident this morning along the Soroti-Moroto road.

John Eyalu, driving a white Taxi UBH280M from the Moroto direction, reportedly lost control and collided with a fuel tanker, registration KDU532U, near Ocorimongin Cattle Market. Eyalu died instantly.

Regional Police Commander Ibrahim Siaga attributed the crash to speeding, urging drivers to slow down to prevent further loss of lives.
